In these terms and conditions:

  • “we / us / our / ours” means the seller Arabesque
  • “you / your / yours” means the buyer/purchaser
  • “goods” means the goods which we will supply to you in accordance with the contract.

By placing an order on this website, you are deemed to have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

How to pay :

We accept all major and debit cards except American express and diners club. Payments are processed, protected and secured by ‘Sage Pay’. All goods must be paid for at time of ordering and before despatch.

Postage &  Packing :   

UK standard delivery - £3.95  up to a maximum of 2 pairs
3-5 working days from despatch.
Free* Delivery is offered on selected ranges up to a maximum of 2 pairs. Free delivery is complementary on condition of completed sale.  Applies to UK only. 
Europe Delivery -  £12.00 for one pair, £17.00 for 2 pairs. £4.95 for scottish country dance shoes, footpetals & extras.

4-7 working days Royal Mail International Signed For service.

International Delivery - £17.50 for 1 pair, £25.00 for 2 pairs.

Up to 10 working days Royal Mail International Signed For service.

Volume orders may incur additional postage especially for comparison purposes, please contact us for a quote prior to placing your order.

We currently ship within the UK, Europe, USA and Australia. For other shipping destinations please contact us for ordering information.

*Free delivery is offered as a condition of completed sale and is valued at £3.95. If your order is returned as unsuitable or unwanted the original postage charge paid by Arabesque will be deducted from your refund.


Stock permitting, all orders are usually despatched within 3 working days of being accepted, to arrive with UK customers within 3-5 working days. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of the delay and despatch it as soon as it arrives. The delivery period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate. Orders will be sent complete unless otherwise arranged. Goods can be sent to an alternative address.

If your delivery address is outside the UK, you may be liable to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. We recommend you contact your local customs office for further information. You are fully responsible for any taxes or fees due. Deliveries are made during working hours and will require a signature. We cannot be held liable for any delivery delays caused by strikes, weather or events beyond our control.

Made to order / Bespoke service / Final sale

Items which are made to order, are bespoke or dyed to your requirements, are reduced in a final sale are non returnable. Don't hesitate to contact us for advice on size, fit, colour, trim options prior to ordering, we will be delighted to help you with your choice. We cannot be held responsible if the item is the wrong size or is unsuitable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Accuracy of content

Every effort has been made to verify the accuracy of the product descriptions, sizes, prices and specifications on our website. The colour accuracy of the displayed product image will be dependant on your viewing conditions, therefore please allow for small colour discrepancies.

Intellectual property

You may access this website solely for your own personal use. By using this website you acknowledge and agree that all content (including but not limited to all images, text and graphics) are protected by copyright and design rights as applicable and that you may not use, copy or store any part of this site for any commercial or legal purpose.

Privacy policy

Your contact details are for our eyes only and we will never share or sell your personal information. You have the option to add your contact details to our mailing list, which is used purely for keeping you updated with offers, newsletters and upcoming events. You may unsubscribe at any time. All personal financial information and payments are handled independently by sage pay, which is a secure payment service provider.


All products are offered subject to availability. In the case of a product being out of stock, we will inform you as soon as possible to advise an expected delivery date. If this is unsuitable we can offer an alternative style or refund your payment for that product. We reserve the right to withdraw any product from this website or edit any information on this website at any time.

Archive, Past season & Sale goods

We cannot always guarantee availability of archive and sale items due to the limited sizes and styles. Please note that all archive, past season and sale items may have been live stock and have either been discontinued, are samples or ex display where slight wear and tear or marks may be present and will have been priced accordingly. We can detail any visible markings to the best of our knowledge prior to ordering. This in no way should be viewed as a fault as the item is still fit for purpose. Our full returns policy applies.

Order confirmation

By placing an order with Arabesque you offer to buy the goods at the prices indicated as well as any applicable delivery charges. We will either email or telephone you to acknowledge that your order has been received and again to confirm that the goods have been despatched. All orders will be despatched complete unless otherwise agreed. Non acceptance of an order by us will occur when the ordered item is unavailable or if we are unable to obtain authorisation of your payment.

Volume orders

It is our policy to ship a maximum of 2 pairs of shoes per order for comparison purposes as we want you to order with confidence. We will happily accomodate volume orders otherwise, please call for details.

Offers & Discount codes

Special offers, prizes and promotions cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount, nor are they valid on the purchase of gift vouchers, made to order, dyeing services, or postage. To use your discount code simply enter the code in the box shown at the checkout. The discount code will either be a percentage or monetary amount and can be applicable to full and/or sale price items depending on current offer available.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are available, please contact us for details. Any purchases made using gift vouchers or credit notes will have any remaining value returned by same and cannot be redeemed for cash.


All prices shown are in sterling, are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) and are subject to change without notice.


The consumer protection (Distance Selling) regulations state that you are legally entitled to cancel your order with us from time of ordering to within 14 days of receipt for a full refund (with some few exceptions). You must inform us by phone, in writing or by email of your intent to cancel at your earliest convenience as we reserve the right to refuse a cancellation outside this time frame. See contact page. Refunds will be made within 30 days. If your order has already been despatched you will be required to return the goods as per our returns policy. We require all goods to be returned to us within a further 3 days, so please ensure your unwanted goods arrive back to us within 10 working days from delivery. Exceptions include but are not limited to goods made to order, special order, bespoke items or have been dyed. We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time.
